They seem to live in different cities (New York and Los Angeles), yet the story remains the same. The mating minefield obviously exists everywhere. We watch as they experience the heady highs of a great first date and the languishing lows of realizing that their dream date has turned into a douchey dud. We see the similarities in our struggles. Should they be taking the same advice they give their clients, or should they try to navigate through newness and innovation in techniques? The perplexing problem posed is why it’s so much simpler to give advice than to take it. It’s riveting, romantic and freakily familiar as they, the experts, try to negotiate the super scary scene.
